Grant guidelines published for $200 million community battery scheme. The Australian government is taking the next steps to roll out a community battery storage for home solar storage. As part of the Powering Australia Plan the (NEM) National Electricity Market generation was to grow by 82% in 2030.
Guidelines have been released for applications to be released by January 30th 2023.
The grant said the approved applications will be assessed against a series of criteria including benefits to the network, support for households, and capacity to share renewable energy with those that cannot install solar or solar batteries.
